Terms of Service

Agreement

These terms are between you and [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] (“Shortlist”, “we”), organized in [STATE], with a mailing address at [ADDRESS]. Questions go to [SUPPORT EMAIL].

By creating an account or starting a paid subscription you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not subscribe.

The subscription

Shortlist is a paid subscription that scans how AI tools answer questions about a local business, stores those answers, and drafts fixes for you to review. Single is billed monthly. Multi is billed monthly. The price shown at checkout is the price you agree to.

The subscription renews automatically for the same period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime online from Account settings, or from the Stripe customer portal linked on the Billing page. Canceling stops the next renewal. It does not require a phone call or a chat.

A trial, if one is offered at checkout, converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel before then.

No guarantee of recommendations or rankings

Shortlist does not guarantee that any AI product will recommend, mention, or rank your business. AI answers change from one ask to the next, and the tools update what they draw on at their own pace. Scores in the product describe past scans. They are not a promise of future placement.

Drafts stay unpublished until you approve them

Fix text, profile copy, and page drafts are suggestions. Shortlist does not publish them to Google, your website, or any directory unless you approve that step. In this version the Google and WordPress connectors do not post on your behalf. You review the draft and publish it yourself, then you can mark it published in the product.

Acceptable use

Use the service for businesses you are allowed to represent. Do not use it to harass, impersonate, or mislead. Do not submit unlawful content, and do not attempt to probe, overload, or bypass the service. We may suspend an account that breaks these rules.

Limitation of liability

The service is provided as available. To the fullest extent allowed in [STATE], [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] is not liable for lost profits, lost recommendations, or indirect damages, and total liability for a claim is limited to the fees you paid for the service in the three months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, and in those places the limits apply only as far as the law allows.
